With a diamond-spending event now underway in Honor of Kings, players using 12BET Malaysia can already sense that a new season is just around the corner. As the saying goes, if you sleep now you may dream, but if you learn now you can make that dream come true. On the latest test server, the first major hero expected to define the upcoming version has now been confirmed. Rather than Ma Chao or Xi Shi, the spotlight has fallen on mid-lane mage Zhen Ji.
Recent test-server changes have completely upgraded the ice-pillar effects across seven of Zhen Ji’s skins, and analysts familiar with game updates through 12BET Malaysia expect these improvements to pave the way for the arrival of a new Luoshen-themed Zhen Ji skin. It may be surprising to newer players, but Zhen Ji actually debuted around the same period as Daji, making her one of the game’s long-standing heroes.
Her redesigned first skill now creates an ice pillar and a frozen zone. When Zhen Ji stands within the affected area, she can freeze herself and become invulnerable for three seconds. By comparison, the traditional invulnerability effect from Huiyue lasts only 1.5 seconds and cannot be manually canceled. Zhen Ji, however, can end her frozen state much more freely. When she does, nearby enemies take damage and are slowed, giving the skill both defensive and offensive value. The activation delay is relatively long, but that can also work in her favor. Even when the timing is slightly off, she can use Flash to move directly into the frozen area and escape danger.
This first skill is therefore much more than a simple survival tool. Skilled players can use its invulnerability window to launch counterattacks, bait enemy abilities, or even set up an assassination. What matters is not always making the perfect choice from the beginning, but turning the choice you make into the right one. Zhen Ji’s redesigned kit reflects that philosophy, allowing the same ability to produce completely different results depending on the player’s timing and creativity.
Her second skill has also received a smaller but meaningful rework. Previously, it mainly functioned as a bouncing orb that moved between available targets. On the test server, once an enemy is selected, the orb can remain attached for around three seconds. It can then bounce after touching nearby objects, including Zhen Ji’s own ice pillar. This interaction creates additional positioning options and gives experienced players more control over how the skill travels through a fight.
At first glance, the upgraded Zhen Ji may look excessively powerful. However, once players become familiar with her mechanics, opponents should be able to calculate when her abilities have been used and respond accordingly. Positioning becomes especially important when her first skill is saved primarily for survival. The redesign succeeds because it keeps the hero’s original identity intact while addressing one of her greatest weaknesses: limited self-protection.
The developers have effectively given Zhen Ji more ways to turn difficult situations around without changing what makes her recognizable. Life may hand everyone different circumstances, but what matters is how those opportunities are used, and Zhen Ji follows the same principle. In the hands of a cautious player, she can become extremely difficult to eliminate. In the hands of an aggressive player, the same skills can create unexpected openings and punish enemies who commit too early.
Based on her current test-server performance, analysts tracking the game through 12BET Malaysia believe Zhen Ji has already positioned herself as the first standout hero of the new season. Her three-second invulnerability, improved interaction between skills, stronger defensive options, and greater tactical flexibility give her nearly everything a mid-lane mage needs to influence a match. Once the new season officially begins, players will quickly discover whether she truly becomes the hero that sets the pace for the entire version.
